KCSO: Investigation into Windmill Farms stabbing continues
Forney, Texas – Windmill Farms residents have been on edge after a stabbing this past weekend which was initially described as random. An update provided by the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office may provide some relief to area residents as the investigation continues.

On Saturday afternoon, the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office was called to the 2000 block of Preston Trail after a woman was stabbed twice in the abdomen. According to the victim, the man who allegedly stabbed her is described as a white male in his 30's, approximately 6 feet tall, with shoulder length brown curly hair. At the time of the offense the suspect was believed to be wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt.

“Our investigation leads us to believe this is an isolated incident, and there is no reason for panic,” said Kaufman County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Captain Fred Klingelberger. “This is still an ongoing investigation.”

Klingelberger was unable to provide further details about the case citing the ongoing investigation. He did however reiterate the victim was treated and released with minor injuries.

After the incident on Saturday, there were several other reports of stabbings in Travis Ranch and at an apartment building within the Forney city limits. Forney Police Department spokesperson Detective Clay said their dispatch center did not receive any other calls or reports of stabbings and the only incident they were aware of was the Windmill Farms incident.

If you have any information about this incident please contact the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office at (972) 932-4337 or the Kaufman County Crime Stoppers at (877) TIPS-KCC.
