Forney, Texas - According to witnesses, two Forney Police officers saved a young individual's life as the person apparently tried to jump from the Pinson Road bridge on Thursday night in a possible suicide attempt.

Witnesses say the person was standing on the bridge and holding onto the top of the bridge's rail when officers arrived on scene. Moments later, the individual began climbing over the wall when officers lunged in and grabbed the individual - pulling them back to safety.
The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013, on the northbound lane where there is no pedestrian path or protective fence.
Police have not answered inquiries regarding what led up to the young person attempting to jump from the bridge at the time of reporting. The witnesses could not confirm an exact gender of the individual, some stating it was a male.
