Forney, Texas - District 10-4A basketball play began for the North Forney Falcons men's team (1-0) with a home win over the West Mesquite Wranglers (0-1) on December 20, 2013. The team is now looking forward to another win tomorrow against Carrollton Newman Smith (1-0).

The North Forney Falcons took an early lead in the 1st quarter, 17 to 12, only to lose it in the 2nd quarter, 31 to 26. It wasn't until the 4th quarter the Falcons regained control of the lead for a narrow Falcons win, 65 to 59. The Falcons scored 19 points to the Wranglers 10 points in the 4th quarter.
Player of the Match senior Tyrell Choice, as chosen by Falcons Head Coach Andrew Curtis, scored 13 points, snatched 9 rebounds, handed out 6 assists, and had 4 steals. Football standout and well-rounded athlete senior Armani Watts wasn't far behind with 15 total points scored, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Junior point guard Kobie Jefferson also landed 12 points, 3 steals, and 2 rebounds.
The North Forney Falcons will travel to Carrollton tomorrow, Tuesday, December 31, 2013, for their second district matchup of the season against Carrollton Newman Smith. Newman Smith opened their season against Terrell with a dominating win of 83 to 48.
