The railroad crossing closure at Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 has been rescheduled for Sunday, January 5, 2014, for much needed repairs to the crossing's grade.

Union Pacific will close the crossing entirely from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for northbound and southbound traffic. City officials urge drivers to plan accordingly for any “traffic delays or extended travel times that this may cause.” The crossing was previously scheduled for December 22, 2013, but was unexpectedly rescheduled.
Drivers heading north on FM 1641 will turn left on FM 548. Then turn right on College Avenue/FM 741. Then turn right on South Bois D'Arc. Then turn right on East Broad Street to return to FM 548.
Drivers heading south on FM 548 will turn right on East Broad Street/FM 688. Then turn left on South Bois D'Arc Street. Then turn left on College Avenue/FM 741. Then turn left on FM 548 to return to FM 1641.
Drivers heading north on FM 1641 will turn left on FM 548. Then turn right on College Avenue/FM 741. Then turn right on South Bois D'Arc. Then turn right on East Broad Street to return to FM 548.
Drivers heading south on FM 548 will turn right on East Broad Street/FM 688. Then turn left on South Bois D'Arc Street. Then turn left on College Avenue/FM 741. Then turn left on FM 548 to return to FM 1641.
