1. What are your qualifications to be a County Commissioner of Precinct 2?
I am a lifelong conservative with real world experience of creating jobs and putting people to work. I built a multi-million dollar company from ground up. I have been a self-employed business man for forty years, giving me a proven background to manage budgets and employees.
2. What do you see as the single most important issue facing Precinct 2?
I feel the most important issue facing Precinct 2, is the continued influx of people moving in and stressing the infrastructure of the current road system.
3. How do you plan to address the issue mentioned above?
With the influx of people creating stress on the infrastructure like crowded congested roadways and intersections, I will work with TX-DOT and the City of Forney, to plan on new traffic lights, quicker road expansion and more permanent solutions for roads so they aren't continually being worked on and inconveniencing the citizens of Precinct 2.
4. As a commissioner, what steps would you take to address security concerns at the Kaufman County courthouse?
The Sherriff, has done a wonderful job of securing the inside of the courthouse. He has added metal detectors and has many deputies to insure the safety of the citizens coming into the courthouse to make their experience there a safe one. I would like to address the parking outside to ensure the safety of the jurors , workers and citizens that come and go from the courthouse.
5. How would you utilize the $1 million allocated to Precinct 2 from the Kaufman County Transportation bond for road materials.
The million dollars will be sent to our Precinct, $250,000.00 a year for the next four years. I will seek the best value for materials and purchase materials that will endure the harsh Texas weather and improve our road surfaces.
