FORNEY, Texas – The Forney Police Department and Forney Municipal Court cleared 124 warrants during the 2014 Great Texas Warrant Roundup.

According to information from the Forney Municipal Court, the warrants were cleared and collected between February 15, 2014, and March 9, 2014. In total, $26,668.90 were collected with $19,392.30 in payments, $982.20 in bond applies and forfeitures, and $6,294.40 in non-cash payments.
During the roundup, Forney Police Department officers went door-to-door serving outstanding warrants including warrants for delinquent traffic citations, delinquent parking citations, and other misdemeanor Class C citations.
The Forney Police Department joined a list of 316 agencies statewide participating in the roundup. Notices were posted prior to the roundup and individuals were encouraged to settle payments before officers began knocking doors and visiting local businesses.
