FORNEY, Texas – Several Forney High School and North Forney High School soccer players have been named to the District 23A All-District teams, Academic All-State, and several Player of the Year Awards, as voted by district coaches.

Both Forney High School teams advanced into the regional quarterfinals round of the playoffs with the boys team ending with an overall season record of 16-7-4 and the girls team ending with an overall record of 16-9-4. The North Forney High School boys team ended their season with an overall record of 8-12-1 and the girls team ended with a 7-6-1 overall record.
Forney High School's boys team topped the Dallas Morning News Team Total Offense with 112 total goals over 26 games, averaging 4.3 goals per game.
Superlatives for the girls include: Offensive Player of the Year, Forney's Kayleigh Phillips; Defensive Player of the Year, North Forney's Sarah Schoblocher; Midfield Player of the Year, Forney's Caylon McMillan; and Utility Player of the Year, Forney's Mason Davis.
Superlatives for the boys include: District MVP, Forney's Dominick Faletto who ended the season as Dallas Morning News' leading scorer for the season with 37 goals; and Goalkeeper Player of the Year, Forney's Tristen Putnam.
