KEMP, Texas – A Texas Parks and Wildlife search team recovered the body of 42-year-old Darin Kyle, of Kemp, Texas, from the Cedar Creek Reservoir on Thursday afternoon, April 17, 2014, at approximately 12: 45 p.m., according to Kaufman County Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Johnny Adams.

A boat Kyle and his nephew were in on Wednesday struck a stump and capsized near the Cedar Creek Country Club on the north side of the lake, Adams told inForney.com. Kyle's nephew, who has not been identified, was rescued from an island on Wednesday after calling police from his cell phone.
Authorities searched Wednesday and Thursday for Kyle's body. “They did a good job of locating him,” said Adams. “It's a bad time of year [for underwater searches.]”
