The CMTF is a summer theater program produced by Broadway Workshop which features young actors and up and coming musical theater writers. Anthony was cast among less than 60 other actors to participate in the festival.
The actors will go through an additional round of auditions to determine their roles in two performances at the New York Live Arts theater – an off-Broadway theater. The actors will then have several days of rehearsal and practice before performing on Saturday and Sunday, July 19-20, 2014.
Earlier this year Cameron was cast in her first professional show, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, at Dallas Children’s Theater. Cameron is a lead performer in the Dallas Conservatory (Direct From Broadway, Born to Entertain).
As a member of the Theater Program at FHS, she was recently cast as Sandra in All Shook Up, and has also performed in Warren Middle School’s Thoroughly Modern Mille (Millie), and Music Man (Ms. Paroo).
Cameron is a member of the FHS Chamber Choir and is the daughter of Calvin and Tonya Anthony. Mrs. Anthony is a teacher at Johnson Elementary.
