FORNEY, Texas – A Forney woman claimed a $1 million Powerball second-tier prize after purchasing a ticket at Scotties Exxon gas station, formerly Settlers, at 431 Pinson Avenue in Forney, Texas.

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, matched all five white-ball numbers in the June 18, 2014, drawing with a combination of 6, 9, 29, 52, and 59. The woman won an additional $4 for matching a lower prize level, according to a representative of the Texas Lottery.
The estimated jackpot during the June 18 drawing was $50 million and would have required the woman to match just one more number – the red Powerball number which was a 7. The jackpot has since rolled to an estimated $80 million.
This isn't the first time winning tickets have been sold at Scotties. According to store manager Rita, previous winners have also claimed six-digit winnings on Texas Two Step and Cash Five tickets.
