KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth issued a Heat Advisory for much of north Texas, including Kaufman County, from noon Thursday, July 24, 2014, until 10 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014.

The NWS predicts temperatures well above normal with highs ranging between 100 and 105 degrees over the next 48 hours. With light winds and high dewpoint values, the heat index is expected to be between 105 to 108 degrees.
The Heat Advisory is also in effect for the following counties: Montague; Cooke; Grayson; Fannin; Lamar; Young; Jack; Wise; Denton; Collin; Hunt; Delta; Hopkins; Parker; Tarrant; Dallas; Rockwall; Van Zandt; Rains; Hood; Somervell; Johnson; Ellis; Henderson; Bosque; Hill; Navarro; Freestone; Anderson; Bell; McLennan; Falls; Limestone; Leon; Milam; and Robertson.
