KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas – Oncor is reporting approximately 4,699 outages in Kaufman County tonight after severe thunderstorms accompanied with damaging high winds swept into the county from the north.

The heaviest hit areas were in east Kaufman County with 9 outages reported in Kaufman affecting 1,291 customers and 911 customers affected in the Kemp area. According to Oncor's storm center outage tracker, Kemp customers can expect a restoration by midnight tonight and Kaufman customers have a latest estimated restoration time of 5:30 p.m. on July 24, 2014.
Two outages in Mabank are affecting 2,686 customers. According to Oncor, the Mabank outages have a latest estimated restoration of 1:30 p.m. on July 24, 2014.
In Crandall, Oncor is reporting 409 customers are affected by outages. Those customers restoration is expected before 2:30 a.m. on July 24, 2014. The outages were first reported at 7:54 p.m. today.
In Terrell, 14 outages are affecting 266 customers and the latest estimated restoration time provided by Oncor is 6 p.m. on July 24, 2014. North of Terrell near FM 986, three outages are affecting 23 customers with a latest estimated restoration time of 5:30 p.m. on July 24, 2014.
In Forney, Oncor is reporting 7 outages affecting 16 customers and currently has crews on scene assessing the outages. No estimated time of restoration is provided. The outages are reported in several different areas including the neighborhoods of The Trails of Chestnut Meadow, Mustang Creek, Pinson Addition, and downtown Forney.
Less than five customers are affected in the Lawrence area, between Forney and Terrell. The outages were first reported at 9:12 p.m. and Oncor's estimated restoration time is 5:30 p.m. on July 24, 2014.
