KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas – A cold front moving southeast into the area late tonight is expected to bring a chance of showers for Kaufman County, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas.

The best chances for rain tonight and into Thursday morning is along a line north of I-20 and east of I-35. A portion of northeastern Kaufman County has a 60 to 80 percent possibility for locally heavy rainfall with a threat of isolated flooding.
On Thursday, there is a chance of thunderstorms for all of north and central Texas, according to the NWS. The best chances of rain in the morning are along and northeast of a line from Bowie, Texas, to Canton, Texas.
The threat of thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon is expected to push south along and southeast of a line from Athens, Texas, to Killeen, Texas. Thursday afternoon storms may become strong and are capable of producing small hail and strong wind gusts.
Tonight's low is expected to reach 72 degrees and even lower Thursday night at 68 degrees. The high temperature forecast for Thursday is 83 degrees and Friday at 85 degrees.
