An off-duty Dallas Police officer was arrested at approximately 1:00 a.m. in Forney, Texas, on June 1, 2013. According to the Dallas Police Department, the 22-year veteran Terrance Thomas was arrested by the Forney Police Department for driving while intoxicated with an open container, a Class B misdemeanor.
Thomas is the second Dallas Police Department officer in as many weeks to be arrested for DWI. On May 25, 2013, Dallas Police Senior Corporal Adam Conway was arrested in Rockwall, Texas, for DWI.
Officer Thomas has been placed on administrative leave while the Dallas Police Department’s Internal Affairs Division conducts an investigation. Thomas is assigned to to the DPD's northwest patrol division.
