On August 6, 2013, just before noon, the Forney Police Department and SWAT team responded to a home on the 500 block of Broad Street in Forney, Texas. According to authorities, they were responding to an armed robbery call that just occured at another location.
Sources have confirmed the armed robbery took place at the Forney Radiator and Muffler Service shop at 103 East Broad Street in Forney, Texas. The type of weapon used during the robbery has not yet been confirmed. It is still unknown what the suspect took from the shop.
The Forney Police Department arrested one male after a brief standoff at the home of the alleged suspect. Broad Street was temporarily closed in front of the home while officers were involved in the standoff. Stay tuned to inForney.com for additional details in this developing story.
