A North Texas rotisserie chicken chain will soon open in Forney, Texas, in Shafer Plaza next to the recently opened Oscar Delta Texas Kitchen.
Cowboy Chicken has become well known for their open grill hickory fired rotisserie chicken and the many different ways they incorporate chicken on their menu. In fact, chicken is the only meat Cowboy Chicken serves, so you better believe it'll be done right.
Whole chicken, half chicken, grilled chicken, chicken enchiladas, chicken sandwiches, chicken tacos, chicken salads, and many more special chicken items are on their menu. Cowboy Chicken isn't only known for the rotisserie chicken but also one of their most popular sides, twice baked “potaters.”
Dallas Morning News writer Kim Harwell wrote about their chicken enchiladas saying, “...may be the best chicken enchiladas I've eaten in Dallas.”
A representative of Cowboy Chicken says the restaurant is expected to open in October of 2013 and will hold its grand opening celebrations in November. The restaurant will be 2,600 square feet and seat 85 people.
Cowboy Chicken also announced the Forney location will be their first location to have a drive thru window.
The Cowboy Chicken in Forney will be the fourth franchised location for the Vesta Restaurant Group who plans to open ten Cowboy Chicken restaurants in the Dallas Fort Worth area over the next couple of years. The franchisee is Vesta Restaurant Group President Bob Anderson and the general manager will be Aaron Dcaranglo.
This Cowboy Chicken location expects to hire 25 new employees and also employed the use of local construction company Building Concepts of Forney for their build out.
Cowboy Chicken will be open Monday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
