The Forney Fire Department responded to a fully involved fire at a foreign auto parts warehouse at 12035 South Profit Row in Forney, Texas, on Friday night, September 6, 2013. According to a maintenance supervisor of the surrounding buildings, the building belonged to an A&O Foreign Auto Parts.

Witness Blake Money, who owns K&M Warehouse Services next to the building, said his wife Tracy reported the fire at 9:52 p.m. to 911. At that time, the fire already fully engulfed the building from front to back. “We heard explosions and ran outside and noticed smoke billowing out of the doors and roof,” said Money. He then ran inside to alert his family who was able to safely evacuate their building.
Several explosions were heard coming from inside the burning warehouse and burning vehicles could be seen from the loading docks.
The Forney Fire Department responded in massive force with approximately seven fire fighting vehicles including their three large engines. Truck 1 was deployed with its 75-foot-ladder to fight the fire from above and provided strategic planning to the ground units. Another team cut a hole in the side wall to enter the building in a safer location. Terrell Volunteer Fire Department also responded to assist Forney Fire Department.
Camber Mathis, who owns the building directly behind the auto parts warehouse, said her sister-in-law called her while she was watching a movie at home. “She asked where we were and I said at home, why? Then she said she saw inForney.com report a fire on Facebook and it looks like it is near your building,” said Mathis. “We immediately came up here to check on our shop.” The efforts of the firefighters on scene contained the blaze to the one warehouse and Mathis' building was not damaged.
At approximately 10:47 p.m. the fire was mostly contained and the building owner was notified of the fire.
No injuries were reported in connection with this fire. Investigators could not immediately determine what caused the fire and it is still under investigation. The building and its contents were a complete loss.
