Forney woman recovering after being stabbed at her home, suspect still at large
Forney, Texas – A Forney woman is recovering tonight after being stabbed in her garage in Windmill Farms subdivision earlier this morning.
The suspect is still at large and an ongoing active investigation is underway, according to the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office in an update at 9:35 p.m. on Saturday night, November 30, 2013. The man who allegedly stabbed her is described as a white male in his 30's, approximately 6 feet tall, with shoulder length brown curly hair. At the time of the offense the suspect was believed to be wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt.

The victim, Jessica Lamb, spoke with inForney.com after returning home from the hospital. She lives at home with her husband and two small children who were away visiting her in-laws in the Kemp, Texas, area.

“I was working out in my garage and had that door and the door leading into my house open because I was going in and out frequently,” said Lamb. “I went in the house really quick and when I was on my way out that's when I came face to face with the suspect. All I remember is that he had a blank stare on his face.” That's when the suspect stabbed Lamb twice in the right upper stomach area.

“The suspect then turned around and walked out like nothing happened. I fell to the floor right where it happened and started putting pressure on my stomach. I am an EMT so I knew I had to stop the bleeding. I called 911 and they came within minutes to help.” Lamb also said she did not know the suspect and this appeared to be a random act.

Lamb was released from Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, after receiving 12 stitches for her wounds and is now recovering at her Windmill Farms home.

Lamb isn't sure what type of weapon was used but was told by paramedics it must have been a knife of some sort. “Everything happened so fast," she said.

Lamb also says the suspect looked “pretty roughed up” or “dirty.”

The Kaufman County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division is continuing the investigation. If you have any information about this incident please contact the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office at (972) 932-4337.
