Kaufman County Sheriff's deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call in Windmill Farms on Saturday afternoon, November 30, 2013, at approximately 12:03 p.m. regarding a stabbing.
According to Kaufman County Public Information Officer Captain Fred Klingelberger, the victim was washing clothes in her garage in the 2000 block of Preston Trail when a white male with long brown or blonde hair entered the open garage and stabbed her. The suspect then fled on foot.
Kaufman County Sheriff's Office deputies and Kaufman County Constables searched for the suspect for approximately two hours before clearing the scene. Investigators with the Kaufman County Criminal Investigations Division are continuing the investigation. The suspect is still at large according to the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office -- updated at 4:36 p.m.
Forney Fire Department and EMS treated the female victim at the scene before she was transported to an area hospital for her wounds. She was later treated and released, accroding to the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office.
