The Forney Fire Department was presented with a $2,000 check from Operation Round Up, a 501(c)3 charitable foundation for Trinity Valley Electric Co-op (TVEC), on Friday afternoon, December 13, 2013.

In total, TVEC's Operation Round Up approved $116,000 in grants to local fire departments in their service region which includes Kaufman, Van Zandt, Henderson, and a portion of southern Hunt County.
Operation Round Up is funded by TVEC participating members who round up their monthly bill to the nearest whole dollar. The additional amount rounded up each month is then contributed to Operation Round Up. For example, if your monthly bill is $75.68 then your monthly bill will be rounded up to $76. The additional 32 cents added to your bill is contributed to Operation Round Up.
