Forney, Texas – A two vehicle accident in dense fog conditions briefly diverted northbound traffic on Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 late Friday night, December 13, 2013, at approximately 11:00 p.m.

The two vehicles, a small truck and a small car, collided on FM 548 near Sonic and no injuries were reported – a responding ETMC ambulance was disregarded after arriving on scene. The front end of the truck involved was damaged as was the rear end of the small car. The truck was facing north in the middle of FM 548 and the car was facing south on the shoulder of the southbound lane. Both vehicles were hauled away by wreckers.
Northbound traffic was diverted through the Starplex theatre parking lot and back onto FM 548.
Visibility conditions were poor after the National Weather Service in Fort Worth issued a Dense Fog Advisory at 9:00 p.m. on Friday night which will expire on Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. Visibility at the time of the accident was approximately one-quarter mile.
The Forney Fire Department and Forney Police Department responded to the accident which cleared at approximately 11:40 p.m.
