Terrell, Texas – A Kaufman County Grand Jury indicted Charles E. Brownlow Jr. on one count of capital murder and one count of evading arrest for the October killing spree which left five people dead at four different crime scenes in Terrell, Texas.

Currently, Brownlow has only been charged, and now indicted, with the murder of 22-year-old Luis Leal who was a clerk at Ali's Market in Terrell on West Moore Avenue where he was shot and killed by Brownlow.
According to authorities, Brownlow appeared to be intoxicated when he went on the five-and-a-half hour killing spree and a nearly four hour manhunt on the night of October 29, 2013. He first killed his aunt, 55-year-old Belinda young Walker, at her home in the Stallins addition in south eastern Terrell. Then he killed his mother, 61-year-old Mary Catherine Brownlow, at a home authorities believe they shared – he then set fire to the house, also in the Stallings addition.
Five-and-a-half hours later, authorities say, Brownlow shot and killed 31-year-old Jason Wooden and 30-year-old Kelleye Pratt, of Forney, at their north Terrell home. Brownlow then traveled to Ali's Market where he shot and killed Leal.
After a nearly four hour manhunt, authorities captured Brownlow near a creek north of the Stallings addition after being involved in a short police chase.
According to Kaufman County records, Brownlow is also being held on contempt of court charges for disobedience in his arraignment hearing – a $1,000 bond. At the time of his arrest, the Terrell Police Department said additional charges would be forthcoming. inForney.com spoke with the Terrell Police Department late Friday night and is expecting an update on the case on Monday.
