Forney, Texas – The Forney High School (2-3) girl's basketball teamed hosted their crosstown rivals North Forney (1-4) on Friday night, January 3, 2014, at Forney High School.

Forney outscored North Forney in the first 3 quarters of the game: 9-5; 8-4; and 11-10 before being confronted with an aggressive North Forney team in the 4th quarter. Forney was leading 28-19 going into the 4th quarter.
North Forney nearly doubled Forney's scoring in the 4th quarter, 15-8, but it wasn't enough to seal a victory for the girls. Forney won the game with a narrow margin, 36-34.
