The Kaufman County Heroes Foundation received a $4,500 donation from the Shamrocks Motorcycle Club's Lone Star Irish Chapter last month after their yearly whiskey-tasting fundraiser, “Taste of the Irish.”

The Shamrock Motorcycle Club and their local chapters are made up of current and retired law enforcement officers. The Lone Star Irish Chapter began their Taste of the Irish fundraisers to help benefit local charities. The donations to the Kaufman County Heroes Foundation were made in January, according to Lone Star Irish treasurer A.D. Sansom who is also a Captain at the Terrell Police Department.
