Early voting for the March 4, 2014, Primary election continues through the end of the week. The county has also extended voting hours until the early voting deadline on Friday, February 28, 2014, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Early voting is also the only time the electronic voting systems will be used. Only paper ballots will be used on election day to comply with the election code, according to Kaufman County Republican Party Chairman Bill Baker.
“If you want to vote using electronic machines vote early. If you want to vote using a paper ballot vote at your voting location on election day,” said Baker.
Early voting locations include: Forney Sub Courthouse at 200 East Main Street; Terrell Sub Courthouse at 408 East College Street; Kaufman Courthouse Annex at 100 North Washington Street; and the Kemp Sub Courthouse at 103 North Main Street.
