The students toured the bank, asked questions, heard from employees, counted money, and even interacted with some customers. But it wasn't all about the popcorn and juice - students asked the tough questions like “How do I get a job at the bank?” and “Where do y'all sleep?”
Students piled around a coin counting and sorting machine as handfuls of money were dropped in to be counted before a receipt printed off a total. The students then helped count dollars bills to be returned to the customer.
Drive thru customers at the time of the field trip were greeted by the students and given a special “Thank you” at the end of their transaction.
The students toured the bank as part of their professional day where students learn about different jobs and hear from real-world professionals.
