FORNEY, Texas – A cold front is expected to hit Forney and Kaufman County between the hours of 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. and with it will come strong winds. The National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Wind Advisory for most of North Texas overnight.

The Wind Advisory will be in effect from 10 p.m. tonight, March 11, 2014, until 1 p.m. tomorrow. Sustained northerly winds of 25 to 30 miles per hour are forecasted with occasional gusts of wind between 40 and 45 miles per hour.
The strong winds may make it difficult for eastbound and westbound traveling high profile vehicles. The National Weather Service is advising lightweight outdoor objects should be properly secured and to wait until tomorrow morning to put out your trash instead of doing so tonight.
A Hazardous Weather Outlook is also in effect for North Texas until 1 p.m. tomorrow. Relative humidity is expected to fall below 30 percent increasing the likelihood of grass fires until winds subdue tomorrow afternoon.
The low tonight is expected to reach 42 degrees. Wednesday will have a high around 58 degrees and a low around 34 degrees. Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high of 62 degrees and a low of 38 degrees overnight.
