KEMP, Texas – A yet to be identified woman was shot and killed on Tuesday night, March 11, 2014, in Kemp, Texas, during an alleged domestic dispute.
According to Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office Captain Fred Klingelberger, a man called 911 and reported the shooting and said he had shot the woman during a domestic dispute. 67-year-old William Raymond Simons was arrested at the scene when deputies arrived and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
Simons was booked into the Kaufman County Jail last night and charged with murder, according to Kaufman County Jail records. The woman has not been identified pending next of kin notification.
The incident occurred on Farm-to-Market (FM) 3396.
