FORNEY, Texas – The Texas Department of Transportation is reporting intermittent lane closures will occur on Pinson Road, Farm-to-Market (FM) 740, between Redbud Drive and the Pinson Road bridge. During the lane closures, a flag crew will direct traffic.

The closure dates will be from Wednesday, March 19, 2014, until Saturday, March 22, 2014, and are scheduled from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. According to Forney's Assistant City Manager Gina Nash, the closures will be conducted while crews begin pouring concrete on what will be the future northbound lanes of Pinson Road.
Construction crews finalized the steel work last week and began preparations for pouring concrete and the concrete batch plant is back on the temporary construction site at the intersection of Pinson Road and Ridgecrest Road. The crews already began pouring concrete on the small section of Ridgecrest Road east of Pinson Road earlier this morning.
The closures will proceed as scheduled pending any weather delays.
Upon completion, Pinson Road will include four undivided lanes, curbs, and underground drainage. The last reported completion date was projected for May 2014. An updated completion date was not immediately available.
