FORNEY, Texas – The Forney Adult Softball Association is gearing up for their first season in Forney with registrations beginning May 15, 2014, for a church/coed league and a men's rec league.

The league also announced today its league affiliation with United States Specialty Sports Association, or USSSA. The Forney Youth Baseball Association (FYBA) and the Metro East Softball Association (MESA) are both also affiliated with USSSA.
Team registration is $400 per team and the last day to register is June 17, 2014. Very limited space is available as the only field available for the league's use is Mulberry Park's Field 1. Registration will be in person only and details will be on forneysoftball.org when they become available. The league expects to have eight teams per division at this time.
The league will play in July and August with approximately six to eight games per team and a championship tournament. Church/coed games will be played on Monday and Thursday nights. The mens rec league will play on Tuesday and Friday nights. 3 games will be played each nigth at 6:30 p.m., 7:45 p.m., and 9 p.m. If both leagues fill up and an additional league is created, it will play on Wednesdays and/or possibly weekends, according to the league's website.
