Renee's Eventi will be hosting the 2nd Annual Forney's Boutique Bridal Show on Sunday, June 2, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Because of the success of last year's event, it will once again be held at the Christopher Inn & Suites Best Western of Forney.
Lakesha Wells, owner of Renee's Eventi, ventured into uncharted waters last year when she had the idea of holding a bridal show in Forney. Wells said what started as an opportunity to showcase Renee's Eventi, an event planning business, became so much more.
Local vendors in the event planning, service, and bridal businesses are now given the opportunity to showcase their services to local brides in the now-booming Forney economy. Forney is seeing more and more young couples getting married and calling Forney their home.
According to Wells, last year the event drew 15 local vendors. This year, many of those vendors are returning for a second year and the total vendors for this year is approximately 20. Wells said she is looking forward to attracting brides from the surrounding area, not just Forney, to the show.
Event guests will be given an opportunity to enjoy samples from the food service vendors, participate in giveaways throughout the evening, grab a glass of wine, and enjoy a fashion show.
