FORNEY, Texas – The Forney Z-Bra Girls are preparing for their “Battle of the Bras” event on Saturday, May 3, 2014 – an event that will surely turn some heads.

Battle of the Bras isn't your typical bra runway show. Custom themed bras are made in advance of the show for 20 male models to strut on a runway. The bras are later auctioned off to the highest bidder to raise money for the teams involvement in the 3-Day walk which requires each team member to raise $2,300.
Male models this year include a city councilmen, a Crossfit trainer, local business owners, and several team members' husbands. For the “battle” portion of the show, the team has pitted the managers of Kroger and Brookshires against each other as well as the managers of Chilis and Applebees.
The event will be held at Warren Middle School with doors opening at 6 p.m. A spaghetti dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. and a silent auction will run for the length of the show which begins at approximately 7:45 p.m.
“The show usually runs until 10 p.m.,” said Z-Bra team member Nina Rangel. “But sometimes the guys get up there and they start hamming it up and the time runs a little bit longer. It's a lot of fun.”
This year's show has some very unique bras, according to Rangel. Three in particular were designed by a couple who have done special effects on a project with Steven Spielberg. Although we cannot discuss this year's bra designs – which will be revealed at the show – in the past, there have been sports team themed bras, Texas “hold 'em”, and plumber's delights.
Tickets are $15 per person and include the dinner. You must be 18 years or older to attend. Tickets can be purchased at the door or pre-sale by calling (469) 222-7248.
