WILLS POINT, Texas – An early morning lockdown at all Wills Point Independent School District schools has been lifted after authorities apprehended a former student who made threats, according to school officials.

Wills Point ISD placed all campuses on lockdown on Thursday morning, May 8, 2014, at approximately 8 a.m. as a “proactive response to a reported threat.” According to a statement released by Wills Point ISD, “A parent contacted high school administration to report that her older child, a former student, was making threats to come to school and harm his younger brother.”
District officials notified authorities of the threat and all students were secured indoors while authorities searched for the older brother. The individual was apprehended by law enforcement at approximately 8:20 a.m. and the lockdown was lifted at 8:30 a.m.
