FORNEY, Texas – An 18-wheeler jackknifed on westbound U.S. Highway 80 at Farm-to-Market (FM) 460 at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, May 8, 2014, causing hours of delays.

The 18-wheeler jackknifed across all lanes of travel just passed the FM 460 overpass and completely shut down the westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 80 until 2:55 p.m. Traffic was re-directed off the highway at FM 460 and onto the north service road.
HAZMAT crews were dispatched to clean up a fuel spill at the accident scene and approximately 100 yards prior to the accident scene near the FM 460 exit ramp. Approximately 100 feet of the cable median has been destroyed. TxDOT crews were on scene to inspect the damage.
The driver of the 18-wheeler, hauling a McDonald's trailer, was uninjured in the wreck.
