FORNEY, Texas – It was another dominating performance for the North Forney High School Lady Falcons softball team facing off against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year, 9-4A District Champions Frisco Centennial, in a one-game playoff matchup for the Class 4A Regional Quarterfinals.

Both teams traveled to Allen High School on May 9, 2014, for their 7:30 p.m. first pitch. The Falcons run-ruled their third straight game in a row in the playoffs in route to becoming Regional Quarterfinal Champions scoring 18 runs in five innings – run-ruling the game at 18-3.
The Falcons scored their first two runs with their third at-bat with Peyton Hedrick hitting a two-run homerun scoring Taylor Sieber. Hedrick, with 5 total RBI's, went on to hit another homerun in the fifth inning and Stephanie Willey also hit a two-run homerun in the third. Frisco's three runs came in the bottom of the fifth inning but weren't enough to stop the game from the run-ruling victory.
Hitting RBI's for the Falcons were Lainey Smith (2), Hedrick (5), Christi Flanigan, Sieber (2), Marilyn Rizzato (3), and Wiley (3). Hedrick and Sieber both had doubles on the night and Flanigan had a triple.
The Falcons will move onto the UIL Class 4-A Regional Semifinals against the winner of the best-of-three series between Hallsville and Wylie who have games tonight, tomorrow at 2 p.m. and, if a third is needed, tomorrow at 5 p.m. All three games are being played in Grand Saline, Texas.
