After a majority of the fire was contained, a dust devil briefly formed on the north edge of the fire which was south of U.S. Highway 80 near the Gateway Bridge development.
The video was shot about 100 yards away from the dust devil which appeared to be approximately 10 to 15 feet wide at the base and 60 to 75 feet tall at its maximum strength. The dust devil formed just minutes after the fire was extinguished in that particular area and the dust devil can be seen picking up black ash from the fire.
