FORNEY, Texas – At approximately 2:15 p.m. today, July 3, 2014, authorities searched for a male and a female who fled on foot following a single vehicle accident on westbound U.S. Highway 80.

The vehicle struck the inside median of westbound U.S. Highway 80 west of the Farm-to-Market (FM) 460 on-ramp in Kaufman County. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The Forney Police Department, Pct. 2 Constable's Office, the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office, and an off-duty Garland police officer assisted the Texas Department of Public Safety in the search. Authorities searched a wooded area north and south of U.S. Highway 80 near the East Fork Trinity River.
The subjects were described by witnesses as a white male with a purple shirt and a white female with a black shirt.
