FORNEY, Texas – A guardrail on Travis Ranch Boulevard impaled a vehicle which struck it on Thursday afternoon, luckily, no one was injured in the accident, according to authorities.

Emergency responders received the call about the accident at approximately 1:20 p.m. which occurred on southbound Travis Ranch Boulevard near Grimes Drive. The vehicle struck the curb in between two sections of guardrail and then struck the guardrail.
The guardrail impaled the front of the vehicle on the driver's side and stopped just before entering the cabin of the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was assessed by an East Texas Medical Center ambulance at the scene but not transported. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the cause of the accident.
