FORNEY, Texas – The Forney Police Department is investigating an armed robbery which occurred at Scholtzsky's Deli at approximately 12:30 p.m. today.

Witnesses reported a black male armed with a revolver ran into the restaurant and grabbed something from the front counter while the employees were in the back. The man was reportedly wearing blue-jean shorts, a short-sleeved black uniform style shirt with the buttons unbuttoned, white socks, and black shoes.
Witnesses at a nearby business reported seeing the subject jump into a small black passenger car and flee the parking lot, possibly westbound on the service road.
Authorities notified surrounding agencies of the suspect and vehicle description.
No injuries or gunshots were reported.
Schlotzsky's Deli is located at 750 East U.S. Highway 80 in Shafer Plaza at Mustang Creek.
