According to Texas Department of Public Safety media spokesperson Lonny Haschel, at approximately 3:46 p.m., the DPS CID agents were conducting a drug investigation in Kaufman County near I-20 and State Highway 34 when the suspect, driving a 2014 silver Chevrolet 3500 dually truck, rammed the agent's vehicles.

The suspect then fled westbound on I-20 and marked DPS highway patrol troopers and the Dallas County Sheriff's deputies joined the chase. DPS troopers deployed spike strips on I-20 near Seagoville Road, according to a witness. Those spike strips were successful, according to Haschel. The truck's right front tire shredded and separated from the rim.

At approximately 4:02 p.m., the suspect exited I-20 at North St. Augustine Drive and was taken into custody without further incident. According to Haschel, no injuries were reported during the pursuit of the suspect.

The truck had visible damage to the front right fender and the driver side passenger door and bed fender.

The suspect's name is not currently available due to an ongoing investigation.
