
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas – The National Weather Service in Fort Worth issued a Flash Flood Watch for Kaufman County which will be in effect from tomorrow morning, Thursday, July 17, 2014, at 7 a.m. until Friday afternoon, July 18, 2014, at 1 p.m.

The watch was issued earlier today in anticipation of two rounds of locally heavy rainfall – first on Thursday and again on Thursday night into Friday. NWS forecasts rainfall totals for the two days to be between two and four inches with some areas receiving more locally.
The Flash Food Watch also applies to the following counties in north central Texas: Collin; Cooke; Dallas; Denton; Fannin; Grayson; Hunt; Jack; Montague; Parker; Rockwall; Tarrant; and Wise Counties. In northeast Texas: Delta; Hopkins; Lamar; Rains; and Van Zandt Counties.
