NWS cancels Heat Advisory for Kaufman County

The advisory was canceled due to slightly drier air across the region causing heat indeces not to reach values expected on Friday. However, different locations across the region are still expecting temperatures to reach 105 degrees. Most areas will experience heat index values in the 99 to 103 degree range, according to the NWS.

The NWS still urges everyone to take precautions to protect themselves from heat related illnesses, especially those working outdoors.

• Friday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 76. South southeast wind around 10 mph.
• Saturday – Sunny, with a high near 98. South southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
• Saturday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 76. South wind around 10 mph.
• Sunday – Sunny and hot, with a high near 99. South southwest wind around 10 mph.
• Sunday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 78. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
