FORNEY, Texas – A Lancaster man was charged with the aggravated robbery of the Schlotzsky's Deli in Forney, Texas, after being arrested in Duncanville, Texas, for a similar crime.

On July 25, 2014, the Forney Police Department served warrants for aggravated robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon to 28-year-old Rodney Antwon Lewis who was already booked into the Dallas County Jail.
Lewis was arrested on July 15, 2014, for allegedly robbing a Jack in the Box in the 100 block of East Camp Wisdom Road in Duncanville. Lewis placed an order and waited for the cashier to open the cash drawer before pulling a gun, hopping the counter, and grabbing the money and running.
Lewis is accused of doing the same at the Schlotzsky's Deli in Forney, Texas, on July 8, 2014 – placing an order, waiting for the cash drawer to open, and then pulling a gun on the cashier. Witnesses say an accomplice may have helped him escape the Forney robbery by vehicle.
According to the jail records, Lewis is being held on $850,000 bonds for the charges stemming from the Forney robbery and an additional $240,000 bonds from Duncanville Police Department for two counts of aggravated robbery, evading arrest, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
