TERRELL, Texas – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) expects to close Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 to one lane of traffic on Thursday, July 31, 2014, from 7 am. To 5 p.m. – weather permitting.

The closure will be between Apache Trail and I-20, according to TxDOT. Flag crews will direct traffic during the closure – one direction at a time. The closure will impact FM 148's intersections with Spur 557 and I-20.
“Delays are expected and motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate route through the area,” stated TxDOT representative Michelle Releford who said the reason for the closures was to allow construction crews to place concrete barriers and road striping.
“In case of inclement weather, the work will be pushed to Friday,” stated Releford.
