CrossFit Forney and Mission Church have teamed up for a school supply drive on August 10, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. that will benefit Criswell Elementary School and FISD.
The school supply drive is being called “Burpees for Backpacks” - an exercise made popular by the United States Armed Services. CrossFit Forney will be offering two free weeks of membership for anyone who brings in school supplies and donates to the drive.
There will also be door prizes from local businesses including gift cards to Soulman's BBQ and Oscar Delta, $100 and three free haircuts from Salon Nevis, house cleaning by Squeaky Clean, custom fishing rod from Trinity Custom Rods, and gift baskets from Avon Store of Royse City and FringeSport.
Burpees for Backpacks is collecting backpacks, 24-pack Crayola crayons, construction paper, pencils, 1-inch binders, large pink erasers, tabbed folders, hand sanitizer, paper towels, Kleenex, bottled glue, glue sticks, wide ruled spiral notebooks, markers, dry erase markers, and rulers.
After the needs of Criswell Elementary School are met, additional supplies will be donated to other Forney Independent School District campuses. The supply drive will be held at CrossFit Forney at 20 Mustang Court, Forney, Texas, 75126.
