The Forney fire Department responded to and extinguished a boat fire on Tuesday, September 3, 2013.
At approximately 11:00 a.m. the Forney Fire Department responded to a home on Purdue street in the Mckellar Home Place subdivison in the heart of Forney, Texas. The homeowner's boat was on fire in their driveway and spread to the homeowner's truck which was parked next to it.
The fire was contained by the Forney Fire Department to the two vehicles and did not affect the homeowner's house. The fire was extinguished and the fire department cleared the scene in approximately 40 minutes.
Forney Fire Marshal John Holcomb says the cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported in connection with the fire.
