The Forney Arts Council is seeking volunteers for its second annual Forney Arts Festival to be held in historic downtown Forney, Texas. The festival will be on Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15, 2013, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The Forney Arts Council is seeking volunteers to help distribute fliers beginning today, Friday, September 6, 2013, and Saturday September 7, 2013. Flier distribution on Friday will be in front of Brookeshires in Forney from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. On Saturday, fliers will be distributed in front of Forney's Walmart location from 10 p.m. until 4 p.m.
During the festival, the Forney Arts Council is seeking help on Saturday from 6 a.m. until 9 a.m. and noon to 6 p.m. On Sunday, help is needed from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. You can volunteer for two-hour shifts or more.
The Forney Arts Council will hold a volunteers meeting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at the Forney Arts Council Center at 213 South Bois D Arc, Forney, Texas 75126. Donuts and coffee will be served.
Volunteers will help with vendor check-ins, children's art and design activities, teen activities, chef demonstrations, FAC membership and t-shirt sales, runners, sitters, and other tasks assigned by the volunteer coordinator. To volunteer please email Bobbye Pound at bpound@appliancewhse.com.
