NWS: Hazardous Weather Outlook, Winter Weather Advisory to end at noon
The Winter Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Texas, will expire at noon today, Monday, November 25, 2013.
Kaufman County and most of North Texas avoided snow and sleet storms after a Winter Storm Warning was issued by the National Weather Service. Although the Winter Weather Advisory expires at noon today, lingering patches of ice on elevated surfaces such as bridges and power lines may still be present and cause hazardous travel conditions.

Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing by noon which should eliminate any lingering hazardous travel conditions.

A strong upper low will move across the area overnight and will create a potential for very light snow. The moisture is limited and accumulation is not expected. Any accumulation will likely melt as the sun rises tomorrow morning.

Tuesday will remain cloudy through mid morning before gradually clearing – a high of 44 degrees is expected. Tuesday night is mostly clear with a low around 27 degrees and north winds at 10 to 15 miles per hour and gusts as high as 20 mph.

Conditions Wednesday will be much like Tuesday. Sunny with a high near 45 degrees with north winds at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Wednesday night will be mostly clear with a low around 25 degrees. There will be a north wind around 5 miles per hour that will change to a south southeast wind after midnight.

Thanksgiving Day should warm to a high near 52 degrees with sunny and clear skies. Black Friday shoppers will need to pack a heavy jacket for the long lines. Thursday night will be mostly clear with a low around 30 degrees and a south southwest 5 mile per hour wind.

Moving into Friday the temperatures will slightly increase to a high near 56 with south southwest winds at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Friday night is mostly clear with a low around 39 degrees.
