Cowboy Chicken opens in Forney with soft opening
Forney, Texas – Cowboy Chicken's much anticipated opening has finally arrived. The North Texas rotisserie chicken chain has opened their doors in Schafer Plaza at Mustang Crossing at the intersection of Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 and US Highway 80 on the westbound service road.
Cowboy Chicken's 2,600 square foot restaurant will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will seat 85 people. Cowboy Chicken General Manager Aaron “Moose” Darcangelo said they will be closed for Thanksgiving but they will be open for regular business hours for the remainder of today, Wednesday, November 27, 2013, and will continue on Friday.

The Forney location is only the 9th Cowboy Chicken location and the first location to have a drive-thru. “We are excited to open our newest restaurant in Forney and invite the community to come try Cowboy Chicken!” said Vesta Restaurant Group President Robert Andersen, a Cowboy Chicken franchisee. “We look forward to introducing ourselves and our signature wood fired chicken to families and new friends in Forney.”

Cowboy Chicken has become well known for their open grill hickory fired rotisserie chicken and the many different ways they incorporate chicken on their menu. In fact, chicken is the only meat Cowboy Chicken serves, so you better believe it'll be done right.

Whole chicken, half chicken, grilled chicken, chicken enchiladas, chicken sandwiches, chicken tacos, chicken salads, and many more special chicken items are on their menu. Cowboy Chicken isn't only known for the rotisserie chicken but also one of their most popular sides, twice baked “potaters.”

Dallas Morning News writer Kim Harwell wrote about their chicken enchiladas saying, “...may be the best chicken enchiladas I've eaten in Dallas.”
