The annual Forney Lions Club Angel Tree will be displayed in front of the Xerix Garden at the Forney Sub-courthouse during this year's Christmas on Main event on December 7, 2013. Christmas on Main will be from 12 noon until 6:30 p.m. with a lighted parade and tree lighting ceremony to end the event.
This year's angel tree has a total of 214 angels and 96 families who need assistance this holiday season. All of the angels and families live within the Forney Independent School District boundaries.
You can adopt one or more angels, according to Forney Lions Club Lion Don Orman. The Forney Leo Club will also be conducting a book drive for young children and teens. “If you would like to contribute to this project, please bring new or gently-used books when you visit the Lions Angel Tree,” said Orman.
